C I have twice paid expensive equine professional photographers to get snaps of us for use on our website in 2002 and 2004, with disappointing results in both instances.   

Peter Cox has since, without a doubt produced the best photos by far.  So I am terribly pleased that his persistence has paid off - he undoubtedly has that extra talent to get those special shots, rather than the posed.  Well done for finding him and persisting, and lucky us for having such talent prepared to visit regularly come what may!

Which reminds me, I want that really smiling kid on the best pony ever please for the Sainsburys' promotion.  I'll look at Peter's site too, but if anyone can really decide on how to capture LHS, it is you.  Perhaps Peter, with is critical eye, can advise us of the best shots to decide between?

Hi Peter, It's funny S was saying only the other day how much she had missed going to Woodcroft and all the fab photos we got there last year. I think the cards are a wonderful idea, it always amazes me the cost of birthday cards etc. I paid over £3.00 for a good luck in your new home card in Tesco's the other day - nearly fell over!  Feel free to use HRH's photo I would definitely order some of the pair of them for Christmas Cards especially for friends and family that don't get to see us very often. We have an ever growing army of ponies/horses now (5 at last count) must be mad I would love to get a montage done of Madison S's little grey pony as I think she will have to go next spring it would make a lovely present for HRH's birthday maybe we could get that organised when things calm down for you. I guess it's all a bit weather dependant as you would have to come to the yard to get a few shots of her (we didn't take her out much last year) anyway let me know if it's something you could do. I could always meet you at the yard during the week when the precious one is at school!!  My only other piece of news is that I'm taking over the running of the events at Crofton at the moment it's all indoors but K is hoping to build another outdoor arena over the winter so if you are interested we hope to run quite a full winter programme let me know. Hello Peter I have been to many events this year that you have photographed - you have provided my sister with many excellent photo's - thank you. I am in the process of arranging a sponsored horse ride in aid of Cancer Research and the Portsmouth Rocky Appeal.  I have approached land owners for their permission to use their land and other organisations for their support. My husband was diagnosed with Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma in May this year and I am making every effort to raise money for cancer research I do not have an exact date as yet but hope to hold the event in Spring 2006 - would you be interested in photographing it?NM

Hi peter Sally has recommended you to us for our shows next year, we have been having K D but we are not happy with the photos he has taken at our last show, I have looked on your website we are very impressed with the photographs.  Would you be able to do our main show on Sunday 20th August 2006 at Portchester castle recreation ground?  This is a provisional date we have to check its ok with the Council before it is confirmed but we are booking for that date now.  We would also like to book for a few of our small shows, dates not set yet for them.  I will ask the committee if they would like you to come along to a meeting to discuss what you can do for us at the shows.

Are you doing photos at the Manhood riding club show at Crofton manor on 27th Nov? We are taking our horse there and would like some good photos of her. Hope to hear from you soon JP

I'd like to do a small section in our next newsletter of some Christmas shots (I know, I know that was 3 months ago!) but I have had a few pictures sent in from some other stables as well and it would be a shame not to have them printed. Thank you very much for allowing us to use a few shots again. You will definitely be mentioned did take a look at the Olympia pictures, and forwarded the link to my boss and the SJ secretary here. They may be useful later in the year on run up to Olympia 2006 to promote the PC day. There are some lovely images, particularly in the master class. Personally I think the Shetland Grand National provides the perfect photo opportunity!!  LG

Hi Peter, Everyone I have shown these to likes this one the best so will have to have it – can you do in 7 x 5 and I will send a cheque off to you this weekend.  Don’t worry about me having to sign for it as it comes to a big house in Mayfair and will be quite safe.  The postman came up to the 4^th floor and left a note so he could just as well have left the photo.
